Deer have been in the news here recently, in fact just today. Last week a deer decided to go shopping in Georgetown and ended up in one of the trendy clothing stores. He didn't like what he saw in the mirror and started charging it. The manager turned off the lights and the police managed to dart it and bring him back to the wild.
This morning another buck was running around Germantown Commons Shopping Center and jumped through the window of Giants (he must have seen the "Now Hiring" sign in the window). Several employees trapped the deer in the back of the store until the police got there. The deer's injuries were too extensive and he had to be put down.
It's silly season for the deer and they are definitely acting out.
Meanwhile, the baby panda, Tai Shon, is still on track to make his debut in December. He's starting to walk and still incredibly cute.
