Does "on two hour delay" mean that the classes start two hours late and run for a full day? From Ontario, Canada, I never heard of delayed school-day start for weather. Either everything was running as normal, or schools were open but the buses weren't running so the rural kids didn't get to school and the rest of us were supposed to be there but we didn't do much, or schools were closed. Sometimes they'd close early to beat a snowstorm though.
Two hour delay means that the school buses and classes start two hours late. Usually the first two periods of class will be dropped, and morning kindegarten will not be held. As it happened, at eight o'clock they cancelled school for the day, probably because the areas to the north and east of us were still getting snow and blowing winds at that time.
