[livejournal.com profile] nellorat asked me why I don't do more horse photos. I replied I find it difficult to take good photos of horses, because they usually put their ears back just as the camera shutter opens, which makes them look mean and dorky.

I rather like this photo that I took of Lily in my trainer's barn today. If you look to the lower left, you can see why my trainer once complained that she had 1000 pound termites on the place. I put another photo that I took today of Hap on my weblog Five Acres with a View. In his photo, Hap is doing his trademark dolphin routine.

Horses ARE notoriously hard to photograph well (the one I took above was from a funny angle on purpose), but you did a great job on yours. Hap is funny--we have a dog that does that!
