Downtown Denver from Sloans Lake

Sloans Lake had its start when a farmer named Sloan dug a well in 1861.  Overnight, the water spilled out of the well and started forming a lake.  Some people jokingly called the body of water Sloan’s Leak.   It is now a Denver City Park.
