Orion had so much snow clumped to his feet and legs that I put him in a tub of warm water to dissolve it.

Woofer used to get snow which turned to ice between his toes, then would yelp as he licked it out later inside the house. Then Mom got him some rubber boots with ankle straps, which he *hated* and pranced even higher trying to walk/step out of them, and a (normal) Proper Poodle Prance is different from other dogs' walk. Still miss him 40+ years later.
