When you live in Colorado, it seems somewhat disingenuous to complain about winter weather. After all, isn't Colorado synonymous with cold, snowy winter weather?
Actually, we live in southern Colorado, along the Front Range, where we are used to mild winter days, with occasional cold snaps. It does get very cold at night, in the teens and twenties, but daytime highs in the forties and even fifties are not unusual. (All temperatures are Fahrenheit.) Even colder days with no wind can be pleasant since the humidity is so low.
However, since mid-January, we seem to have had more winter weather than usual. The days have been colder on average than the past few winters. We have had enough snow that I can't ride or walk on even the warmer days. I am starting to develop cabin fever. And it doesn't look like we will be getting much relief for the next five days, at least.
