I am so sorry you lost your father. What a wonderful eulogy, it told so much about him. You were lucky to grow up with a parent who was so involved in your life and in the church.

what a wonderful remembrance. i've never been too warm on the idea of fathers. i lost mine at twelve, and so never had much of an example. but your brother's words make me lonesome for something i never had, and pleased that you were able to have that relationship for so long.

My dad and I were never close; when my mother died, he left town and we didn't have much chance to improve the relationship. I do envy Jack his family life, and I'm sorry his father is gone. But it sounds like he had a very full life, and accomplished more than most of us ever will.
