I love the covered walkways near the Plaza in Albuquerque.

I was just pondering the other day the strangeness of the fact that covered walkways never caught on here in the Pacific Northwest. I know in the Southwest they are so useful for dealing with the sun; we could use them just as much for dealing with the rain.
